Playpens are used to hold kids safely when the caretaker can’t give attention to the kids’ movements. They are square box like tools used to keep children without allowing them to wander about. There is high security inside the playpens and hence children can be left fearlessly when the parents have to perform work like attending phone calls or iron clothes.
But in most cases, parents are not aware on from what age to start using playpens. Playpens are usually helpful when the child can walk or crawl around here and there and chances are there that the child might get an injury. This happens when the child start crawling at the age of six or seven months. The child might have started his own movements and can cause harm to himself.
As the child grows, his movements also increase. He might start walking own his own going beyond his boundaries. He can walk without support starting at the age of one where playpen will be of great help. As he grows still more, the need of a play pen increases and can be used till the child is two years old.
The parents must take care to give the child chances of movements. They must not restrict the child once he reaches the age of two. Now he can be taken out for a weekend and holiday. The child will start loving his freedom as well. Parents have to realize how well they are going to use a playpen and whether they will restrict their child in it. Then only they must go to buy a playpen for their child.
